With this song I wanted to encapsulate the feeling of developing a crush. Turning it fairytale like, with descriptions of being in a room with many people but meeting the gaze of your romantic interest. Also the laid-back vibe is very similar to Island, from the Sorry I'm Latte EP, which I was trying to replicate. Putting this at the beginning of the EP, I hope to slowly integrate fans of my previous EP into listening to and appreciating my new project.
lyrics
Waste my time being with you, I don't want to waste my time being with you x2
I don't want to waste my life away
Comfortable with you, and I don't want to see
What the future it may be
I could do better too, but I'm already in
And I'm too deep
Ooo, yes I know
But I'm seeing all the girls in the room
I turn my gaze over to you
I know it sounds weird when I say it
But I really hope we can make it through
I turn my gaze over to you
I just need to hear you say it
That you believe we can make it too
Oh woah
And I know what it looks like
That I'm just begging for one night
But that ain't true
Do you believe love at first sight?
I have a feeling you just might
I'm telling you
'Cause you're looking, good feeling better
Keep it on a hundred, no matter the weather
You just really make my day
And the coffee's too hot, we should let it cool
Let's be real we don't really follow rules
I just drink it anyways, as you sip on lemonade
Yes I know
And I'm seeing all the girls in the room
I turn my gaze over to you
I know it sounds weird when I say it
I really hope we can make it through
I turn my gaze over to you
I just need to hear you say it
That you think we can make it too
